Our 2023 Mobile Annual Dinner has been a great success! The dinner was onboard the magnificent GWR Pullman. The Pullman is the UK’s only remaining chef prepared – full dining experience – onboard a timetabled service in the UK and is a truly rememberable experience.
We sincerely thank all GWR staff, organisers, and all attendees! See you on the next 2024 Annual Dinner and the next Mobile Annual Dinner in a few years’ time.
Past event
We have a special Mobile Annual Dinner Visit arranged onboard the GWR Night Riviera to Penzance, where on the following morning we shall have a private tour of the famous Long Rock depot during the afternoon.
Dinner tickets including wine cost £59 for all members. Travel is NOT included.

If you bought the Super-Off Peak Return to Penzance then there is nothing more to pay.
A Super-Off Peak Return between London Paddington and Plymouth with railcard costs – £79.05
Of course, you can book standard class travel from your home station e.g. Cambridge to Plymouth/Penzance.
A range of Advance tickets are available and start from £28.35 with a Railcard between London and Penzance and £25.05 with a Railcard between London and Plymouth each way, please ensure you book the trains outlined above. Remember, you cannot buy a Night Riviera cabin with an advance fare.
Terms and conditions
Join us in Plymouth station at 18:00 on the platform for the 18.16 Pullman Dining to London Paddington. A group photo shall be taken.
There is a strict black tie dress code.
Once we have confirmed your place and you have paid, we are not able to process a refund (unless you find a member to fill your place).
We are fully aware that strike action is continuing across the UK, thus any cancellation of the rail service is outside of the clubs control and refunds for travel would be through GWR.
We shall endeavour to ensure everyone is seated around a table yet it is likely members shall have to sit on an airline seat for some part of the meal. To ensure fairness, a rotating seating plan is in operation.
The menu has the potential for late changes, to both what is service and the ability of the dinner to be cooked, and of course, as with any rail service, we can’t guarantee that it will run. We will of course refund you if for any reason it doesn’t.
We expect to be at Long Rock for 2 hours, we are hopeful PPE shall be provided but you should be prepared to bring safety boots.
You shall follow all instructions by the Vice President during the visit for safety.
